One of my first endeavors at the San Francisco Marathon was launching an influencer program. This included nano and micro influencer collectives made up of participants and ambassadors, running influencers, and celebrity athletes and runners like Cal Calamia and Alexi Pappas.

But when Diplo and his ever-growing Run Club popped up on my radar, I knew I would have to propose more than an influencer partnership to him and his team. What I, along with the SF Marathon Director, proposed was a mutually beneficial co-collaborative partnership.
With our team's direct guidance and marketing assistance, we helped Diplo scale his Run Club registrations by 42% for his first-ever SF race. As for our collaborative campaign, not only did our videographers and photographers capture all of the event content, but so did our ambassador collective, who we had participate and man our official SF Marathon booth.
Our registrations increased by 61% from the previous month after sharing our Diplo Run Club collaboration content and registration code across our social channels.
